Meet DotCom Market Solutions

dotcom market solutionsMany of my regular readers, and especially those who network with me locally, are familiar with my spiel for my business, which includes the tag, “Making Business More Personal.” You also may know “we provide custom websites and social media solutions that get results for our clients.”

But you haven’t ever met the other half of the “We” that is responsible for the custom websites we are proud to provide.

OK, that is because she is in Michigan.  For the last nine or ten years, Terry Andrews and I  have worked together on various projects through her website business, IBusiness Designs. In fact, we first met because I admired a team training website she had created for an affiliate program we were both in at the time. They had a fantastic amount of material available for training, but there was just so much of it, you wanted to shoot yourself before you could finish slogging through it all.  I was impressed by the way Terry distilled out what was important, organized the information, and enabled team leaders to organize and manage their teams through this site, which was called “MIQ Team.”  If you were ever part of the program, you will know what I am talking about. If not, there is no need to belabor the point.

I moved into the direction of social media by joining Facebook in 2007, and Twitter soon after, in 2008. My instincts told me that this was one day going to be huge for business, but I didn’t really know how to proceed.  In 2009, I was part of the inaugural “Mentor With Mari” program, taught by Mari Smith, and which included some amazing people who have gone on to be social media movers and shakers – including Amy Porterfield, Laura Rubenstein, Gina Carr and Kathryn Rose of Social Buzz Club,  Cindy Ratzlaff of BrandNew BrandYou, Melissa Galt of Prospering By Design and “The Daring Woman,” Francine Allaire, just to name a few.  After some hard lessons learned from our experience with our first couple of clients, we settled into providing websites, listbuilding, blogs, SEO, email marketing, PPC, local marketing, and so on.

But now that we are taking our business to the next level, we have extablished a new brand identity, which is DotCom Market Solutions. Stop by and visit us on Facebook. We have been so busy with clients that our own website could still use a little fleshing out! But it will be ready soon – watch this space for the announcement!
